What do I need to bring to my appointment?

Please bring your government issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport. A parent or guardian ID may be provided for a minor.

Is there a cost for the COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test?

There is an $80 charge to you for the testing. We are unable to bill medical insurance at this time. However, we will provide you with the necessary paperwork to self-submit your claim.

Are there forms to fill out?

Yes! If you have access to a printer, you can download and print the form so you can fill out in advance. The form can be downloaded at:  D&H COVID-19 Testing Screening and Consent Form

What if I can’t print the form?

Please arrive 5-10 minutes early and go through our drive thru to receive the necessary form prior to your appointment time. Please do NOT enter the pharmacy at any time. Testing will be done curbside.

How early should I arrive?

Your appointment guarantees you will receive a test so there is no need to arrive more than 5-10 minutes early.

What should I wear?

Please wear a mask over your nose and mouth.

What should I know before receiving a COVID-19 Rapid Antigen test?

The CareStart COVID-19 Rapid Antigen test detects ACTIVE infection. The sample is collected using a nasal swab. You MUST be symptomatic in order for our pharmacy staff to test you OR you must have a doctor’s order for testing.

What does a positive result mean?

A positive result means you should isolate until the following conditions are met: 1) resolution of fever for 24 hours without fever-reducing medications AND 2) improvement of respiratory symptoms (ex cough, shortness of breath) AND 3) it has been at least 5 full days since the onset of symptoms. .

A well-fitted mask should be worn for 10 full days anytime you are around others in the home or in public.

If you did not have any symptoms at the time of the test, maintain self-isolation for 5 days and wear a well-fitted mask for 10 full days anytime you are around others in the home or in public.

What does a negative result mean?

A negative result means you are probably not infected with COVID-19 at the time of testing.

Individuals who have received their booster shot do not need to quarantine following an exposure, but should wear a mask for 10 days after the exposure when around others.

Individuals who are unvaccinated or are more than six months out from their second mRNA dose (or more than 2 months after the J&J vaccine) and not yet boosted, CDC now recommends quarantine for 5 days followed by strict mask use for an additional 5 days when around others in the home or in public.

How will I receive my results?

We will provide printed copies of you results as well as instructions 10-15 minutes after the test. Alternatively we can provide your results by phone or text.
